TIP fellow Danina Garcia, a Vaux Big Picture High School English teacher, was named one of 12 finalists for Pennsylvania State Teacher of the Year. She is currently in Harrisburg competing in the final round. We congratulate Danina on her outstanding work!

This past weekend, Vaux Big Picture High School student Ameen Fleming joined us at the Yale National Initiative's Annual Conference in New Haven. Ameen presented work he had done in TIP Fellow Danina Garcia's curriculum unit on Nurse Elizabeth Tyler's trailblazing efforts against tuberculosis. Link in comments.
