A Promise of Hope's vision is to create an environment where young parents are given the tools to help their families thrive. A Promise of Hope Inc.

is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization (Tax ID Number: 46-1049357) that provides services to pregnant and parenting teens in the Philadelphia area. The organization was founded in 2012 by Alexandria Thomas, a social service professional passionate about social change. The founding principles of A Promise of Hope include Healing, Opportunity, Purpose, and Empowerment which are implemented through

several key components: providing housing, case management, mental health, parenting and life skills training, career and future planning as well as child care. We provide services to young parents ages 13-24 in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. We firmly believe that with the proper tools, education, and support young parents can avoid becoming statistics and become productive successful individuals.

Motivating Young Moms and A Promise of Hope Inc., Thanks everyone who donated their money, time, gifts, and resources to help give to 6 families this holiday season. It's that time of year again and we are thrilled to be partnering with Motivating Young Moms (motivatingyoungmoms.org) to bring holiday joy to local families in need. While you are out shopping for your family and friends, we ask that you consider picking up an item or two for one of our families. If you are able, consider adopting a family.

Monetary donations will be accepted to assist in purchasing anything that has not been donated. Contributions can be sent via cashapp- $hope4holidayz or venmo . (Please verify by checking logo before confirming donation.)

Do you know a young family who may be in need this holiday season? A teen mom who recently gave birth or a young father working to support his family? A Promise of HOPE Inc. Services for Pregnant and Parenting Teens and Motivating Young Moms are partnering to identify young families in need of extra support for the holidays.

Qualifying individuals and families need to be between the ages of 13-21 and reside in the Pennsylvania area. Please email nominations to [email protected] or [email protected] beginning now thru November 15th.

We know that this year has been tough for a lot of families and we decided to take this opportunity to give back. We packed totes with food, toiletries, and Covid19 supplies. Special thanks to the board members for their contributions and to AOB for partnering with us and providing the turkeys. We were able to help 11 families and for this we are thankful.

Know a young parent who is graduating high school or receiving their GED this year? Help us celebrate them in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic by nominating them to receive special recognition and a token of support for their future endeavors. Please submit all nominations via email to [email protected]. Be sure to include the name of the youth, their contact information, and a short summary of why you are nominating them. All submission will be accepted between May 1st thru May 15th. For any questions, please message us or send an email [email protected].

Do you have experience working with at risk youth? Do you have a niche for graphic design? Do you have non-profit leadership experience? Motivating Young Moms is hosting its 1st luncheon for all Mothers and Sons! We tend to focus so much on our daughters that occasionally our young boys/men get left behind. So bring your son, nephew, godson, and even mentee on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 1:00pm -3:00pm for some bonding time.
