PA Robotics Teams: Act now to secure millions for PA Robotics!
As you may know, RoboLancers advocacy in the PA Senate since our 2024 Championship win has already secured $300k for Philadelphia high school robotics teams through the Pennsylvania Department of Education. This week, we have the chance to go bigger!
Senator Devlin Robinson and Senator Nikil Saval are preparing to introduce a bill in the senate this week that would establish a permanent program to support robotics teams statewide. Their bill comes with a $2.5 million budget ask for next year! Read their co-sponsorship memo at https://www.palegis.us/senate/co-sponsorship/memo?memoID=48707
At this time of year, there are lots of groups competing for money and attention. So for this bill to be successful, we need to tell their colleagues in the PA senate that this funding matters!
We've spelled everything out for you. You can find your senator, place a call reading from a short script, and log your call in less than five minutes.
Here are the instructions: https://docs.google.com/document/d/11xt_BAxKEqpP5gokKFihk5nV_Nx4x7cYGDYIVWzD0jM/edit?usp=sharing
Student voices are the most powerful here, but parent, alumni, and mentor voices are also appreciated. You can call the senator for your home address, or the senator for your team/school address, or both!
Please take five minutes today to make a call!
Thank you!
