Our very own, Christine Brown will be receiving the Louisa Binney Wagner Award from the Wagner Free Institute of Science at their annual Sip of A Science fundraiser on Friday, November 14th at 5:30!

This year marks Wagner's 170th Anniversary - a huge milestone for this gem. If you've never been, you're missing out on one of Philadelphia's true treasures.💎

Headlining this year's on Saturday, August 16th at Broad & Cecil B Moore Avenue at 7:30 PM is the multi-award-winning recording artist . Hailing from the City of Philadelphia, most known for her R&B/Pop/ Soul sound and wide range, has shared stages with legends such as Baby Face, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Musiq Soulchild, Fantasia, Miki Howard, Keyshia Cole, & T.I. to name a few.

She has been a member of the Philadelphia Grammys Recording Academy Chapter for 10 years, a voting member for five years, and is currently serving her second term on the Philadelphia Chapter Board as a Governor At-Large. She is Spiritual Unique Divine Artistic and Thankful.

Good news! The Beech Scholarship Fund is accepting scholarship applications for the fall 2025 academic year. If you meet the eligibility requirements, and you're a high school senior or an undergraduate student studying at or attending Temple University, Cheyney University, Lincoln University, or Community College of Philadelphia, you can apply for this scholarship.

To qualify, you must have graduated or will be graduating from a public, charter, or private high school within Philadelphia County and reside in the same county. The online application deadline is Monday, April 7, 2025, by 3:00 PM.
