The Philadelphia Chapter of NOMA is committed to enhancing the profession of architecture by promoting diversity in practice and maintaining an active role in the education of aspiring designers. NOMA was established in 1971 to benefit minorities within the architecture profession and the urban community at large. PhilaNOMA was formed in 1993 and has since been committed to enhancing the professio

through greater awareness and appreciation for architecture and design. We accomplish this in part through various programs and initiatives that provide networking, community service and mentoring opportunities to professionals and students of all cultures and backgrounds.

Thinking about starting your own firm and exploring entrepreneurship? Join us for a virtual panel discussion on firm ownership to hear directly from experienced architects and interior designers as they share the ins and outs of launching, scaling, and running a design practice.
Attendees will receive a step-by-step guide on starting their own business at the conclusion of the panel. The guide will not be all inclusive of everything it takes to run your own business, but helpful tips for getting started.
