Want to learn how to make your favorite foods in a kidney-friendly way? Join the 10th Annual Summer Cooking Camp hosted by the Division of Nephrology at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia!

This **FREE** week-long camp is open to nephrology patients ages **12–17** (including those with CKD, on dialysis, living with hypertension, or with a kidney transplant).

👩‍🍳 Campers will:
✨ Learn to prepare simple, delicious kidney-friendly recipes
✨ Cook alongside professional chef instructors at the Culinary Literacy Center
✨ Build confidence in cooking and baking skills
✨ Enjoy fun afternoon activities and events at the library

It's a great opportunity to learn new skills, make friends, and discover just how tasty kidney-friendly eating can be! 🧡

Join us for our Philadelphia Kidney Walk Kick Off on Saturday, July 11, from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM at FDR Park as we celebrate the start of another incredible Walk season! RSVP by emailing [email protected].

Bring your family, friends, and even your furry companions for a fun-filled morning with the NKF community. We'll enjoy a casual stroll around the lake, connect with fellow walkers and team captains, pick up your official Walk Spirit Box, and get inspired for the journey ahead.

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Marc Hurlbert as the next Chief Executive Officer of the National Kidney Foundation, effective July 1, 2026.
Dr. Hurlbert brings decades of experience advancing research, patient advocacy, prevention, and health equity across major healthcare organizations. He also brings a personal connection to kidney disease as a chronic kidney disease care partner for his brother.
“Supporting patients and families—while also empowering healthcare professionals, community-based educators, and researchers—is my north star,” said Dr. Hurlbert.
For more than 75 years, NKF has worked to improve the lives of people affected by kidney disease through advocacy, innovation, education, research, and patient support. We look forward to continuing that mission together.
