We keep asking:
“What happened to these kids?”

But we rarely ask:
“What happened TO them?”

The Story of Derrick Wallace dives into the emotional realities many young people face but don’t know how to talk about.

This production was created to spark healing conversations, awareness, and reflection.

Bring a teen.
Bring a parent.
Bring an educator.
Bring somebody who needs to feel seen.

Hey Philly, we looking for a youth dance crew to be a part of something special during Juneteenth weekend. ❤️

Childhoodslost Theatre Group is putting on The Story of Derrick Wallace and we really want to open the show with young people bringing energy, culture, emotion, and real storytelling through dance.

This play talks about what a lot of our youth are silently dealing with trauma, pressure, identity, pain, mental health, family struggles, and trying to figure out who they are while the world judges them.

So we don’t just want dancers…
we want young people who move with feeling.

If you have a dance team, know a dance crew, or got talented youth that deserve a stage, reach out to us.

Hip-Hop, Step, Majorette, Praise, Afrobeat, Contemporary… all styles welcome.

This is about giving youth a voice and creating something powerful for the community.

The countdown is getting real.

The Story of Derrick Wallace is almost here, and this is more than a play. It is a conversation our community needs.

This story speaks to trauma, identity, survival, family wounds, silence, and the pain so many young people carry without ever being asked, “What happened to you?”

Come experience a powerful production that will make you think, feel, reflect, and talk.

There are kids in our city who need this story…
but won’t experience it unless someone makes a way.

The Story of Derrick Wallace isn’t just a play.
It’s reflection. It’s truth. It’s healing.
It’s the kind of story that helps a young person understand what they feel… and what they’ve been through.

Some of these kids are living it right now.

🎭 And you can be the reason they don’t just watch it…
but feel seen by it.

When you sponsor a youth, you’re not just buying a ticket.
You’re giving them:
✨ A seat in a space that understands them
✨ A moment of clarity they may never forget
✨ A chance to see their story told out loud

$35 = one life impacted.

Don’t scroll past this.
Be the reason a child gets in the room.

To every mother… ❤️

On behalf of the Childhoodslost Foundation and Childhoodslost Theatre Group, we want to wish you a Happy Mother’s Day.

Motherhood is not easy. It’s showing up while tired, loving through stress, and carrying so much emotionally while still pouring into everyone else.

Today, we honor the mothers who keep going even on the hard days.

To every mother in our Childhoodslost family, theatre group, and programs thank you for trusting us, supporting your children, and continuing to show up with love and strength.

We see you.
We appreciate you.
And we thank you. ❤️
