ENRS is comprised of RNs and others interested in promoting nursing research. It was established in 1988 as the research arm of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Nursing Association (MARNA) and the New England Organization for Nursing (NEON). The ENRS region includes Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington, D.C. E

NRS is dedicated to creating a community of nurses interested in promoting research in the Eastern Region of the United States.

The National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) “Precision Health: From ‘Omics’ to Data Science” Boot Camp is a one-week intensive research training course that will take place at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, from July 25-29, 2016. NINR’s Boot Camp will address the latest advances in genomics, pharmacogenomics, nutrigenomics, metabolomics, microbiomics, and data science as well as the associated ethical, legal, and social implications of precision health. The course is provided by NINR at no cost. Attendees are required to pay for housing, food, and transportation expenses incurred during program participation. NINR& #039;s 2015 Boot Camp will provide a foundation in methodologies for using Big Data in research. The purpose of the course is to increase the research capability of graduate students and faculty.

Are You NINR’s Next Graduate Partnerships Program Fellow? Apply for GPP 2015 Today!

The National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) Graduate Partnerships Program (GPP) is an unparalleled doctoral fellowship training opportunity that combines the academic environment of a university and the breadth and depth of research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Financial support and other benefits are provided for up to three years. NINR Division of Intramural Research Training Program Director Dr. Mary B. Engler encourages PhD nursing students interested in basic or clinical research to apply, noting “the GPP offers qualified students a chance to boost their research careers, working with world-class resources in the NIH labs of renowned scientists and enjoying a rich array of outstanding educational, career, and networking opportunities.”

Students must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and have completed all doctoral coursework as of August 2015 to be considered eligible.
