Big news from the Philly Global Shapers! A couple of weeks ago, we launched our very first Little Free Library in collaboration with Safe Hub Philly and it’s named Angela’s Library. 💖

This marks the beginning of our journey as a Spring 2025 Read in Color grantee, bringing diverse, inclusive books to communities across the city. Let’s keep turning pages and sparking change, one story at a time.

🌟 This weekend, our team came together to spread love and warmth in our community by preparing 60+ meals for the Community Fridges around Philadelphia (South & West)!

With heart and teamwork, we made:
🍚 Rice and beans
🌶️ Chili
🥔 Potato salad
🥕 Roasted vegetables
🍝 Pasta
🥪 Turkey & cheese grilled sandwiches
🍪 Sugar cookies

Every bite was made with care, and we’re so grateful for the opportunity to give back and for the power of community to create meaningful change. 🌍

🍂🌳 Fall in Love with Tree Planting! 🌳🍂

This season, the Philadelphia Global Shapers joined forces once again with the incredible Horticultural Alliance Project for our biannual tree-planting event. With autumn leaves crunching underfoot and crisp air energizing us, we planted vibrant new trees across the city, bringing more life and shade to our urban spaces. A huge shoutout to for being such gracious hosts and treating us to a warm and wonderful lunch celebration after all our hard work!

Together, we’re making Philly greener and healthier, one tree at a time. 🌱💚

What an unforgettable weekend at the Northeast Shapers Retreat in Philly 🌍✨! On Oct 4-6, we hosted 40+ Shapers from across the Northeast who came together to build connections, deepen our impact, and make a difference in our community. 💪🌱

We created lots of wonderful memories together - from rolling up up our sleeves at FDR Skatepark (weeding and cleaning up trash!) to being inspired hearing from Carlos Aponte, ED of We Love Philly! We also explored the Shapers' diverse impact areas, learned from one another’s projects, and sparked ideas for future cross-hub collaborations. 💡💫

Thank you to everyone who made this weekend possible 🫶
