Five Philadelphia organizations have joined forces to develop a coordinated approach to identify and mobilize resources to improve the physical, behavioral, and spiritual health of residents in the 24th and 25th police districts. OCTOBER 25, 2011 at 6:30 PM Dr. Cornel West of Princeton University and Dr. Molefi Asante of Temple University will speak on Who Is Responsible for Healing in Our Communities in Post-Modern Times in a special event to be held at the Mt. Airy Church of God in Christ, 6401 Ogontz Ave. in Philadelphia’s West Oak Lane section. The event is co-sponsored by the church and The Ark, a new community development and substance abuse treatment program.
