A special thank you to the Office of for recognizing our very own Mr. Eliezer Gottlieb, recipient of the 2026 Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award.

We were honored to welcome Aaron to to personally present an official citation celebrating Mr. Gottlieb’s outstanding achievements and lasting contributions to our school community. This recognition reflects not only his dedication to academic excellence, but also the care, passion, and commitment he brings to our students every day.

Thank you to Representative Waxman’s office for taking the time to celebrate exceptional educators and for helping us honor a teacher who makes a difference in the lives of our students, families, and staff. Congratulations again, Mr. Gottlieb, we are incredibly proud of you!

Another amazing year for the books at our 16th Annual Vare-Washington Autism Walk!

Thank you to every student, family, staff member, volunteer, organizer, donor, and community partner who helped make this year’s walk such a success. It’s truly incredible to see how this event continues to grow bigger and stronger every single year, bringing our community together in support, celebration, and inclusion.

A very special thank you to Dr. Wadlington for walking alongside our VW community and continuing to support our students and families.

We are so proud of the love, energy, and community spirit that filled our streets today. Thank you all for showing up and making a difference!

Join us for the 16th Annual Vare-Washington Autism Walk on May 14th at 1:30 PM.

Whether you walk, cheer from the sidelines, donate, or simply show up in support, your presence helps celebrate and uplift our incredible students and families. This annual tradition is all about community, inclusion, acceptance, and showing our students that they are seen, valued, and loved exactly as they are.

The walk will begin in the VW schoolyard and follow the route through our neighborhood before returning to school. Families, friends, neighbors, and community supporters are all welcome.

Thank you for continuing to make this event so special year after year.
