Friends of the Korean War Memorial at Penn's Landing, Inc. Join the Friends of the Philadelphia Korean War Memorial at Penn's Landing! It is located at Korean War Memorial Park, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Philadelphia Korean War Memorial at Penn's Landing was dedicated on June 22, 2002. The Memorial commemorates 622 Servicemen who died in combat during the Korean War from Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties. Since its dedication Veteran's Day and Memorial Day services are held each year at the Memorial site. Four columns enclosed by four open walls create a tomb-like

feeling of religious reverence to a place, a time, and a people who fought for world peace and American prosperity. The center stage map of Korea brings together the trail of the war and information chiseled on the four walls. Along with the names etched on four columns, one column from each year of the four-year war (1950-1953), the memorial includes a listing of the major units involved in the war, laser engraved photos, two panels listing events, maps of the four phases of the war, and markers honoring other participants, such as the Nurses of the Korean War. In 2007, the bronze statue, The Final Farewell, by artist Lorann Jacobs, was also added to the site. The Philadelphia Korean War Memorial is a place to remind us of a time gone by but never forgotten, to honor those who served our country and those who continue to do so. We Salute You.
