Clara didn’t answer our calls at first — but when she picked up the phone, everything changed 💛

“My heart is filled with gratitude. I've been so hesitant to ask for help, and now I have this food!"

For Clara, and so many other cancer patients like her, receiving groceries from Legacy of Hope wasn’t just about food, it was about being truly seen and cared for. From the first phone call to the officer delivering groceries - carrying them into her kitchen, every interaction was full of kindness and human connection.

Your donations make moments like this possible — helping patients feel supported and truly cared for. Every gift counts.

This is why Philly Runs Free matters 💛

Because behind every race bib is someone who needs support right now.

Maria is a 38-year-old mother of three facing a metastatic cancer diagnosis. Like so many individuals navigating cancer treatment, she is balancing medical care while trying to manage household expenses, childcare, and working when she is able.

Because of funds raised by Love Run participants, Legacy of Hope is able to ease that burden—delivering groceries directly to patients’ doorsteps and removing barriers to putting food on the table for themselves and their families.

🌟This is the impact of your fundraising🌟
Every dollar raised through Philly Runs Free helps Legacy of Hope provide practical, life-sustaining support to cancer patients when they need it most.

If you’re registered to run, keep sharing your “why,” reach out to your community, and continue fundraising—because your miles truly make a difference.
