In 2014, our first festival was 5-days long and screened 35 films, today we produce 4 festivals, with 85 days of programming, and over 300 new and independent LGBTQ+ films from around the world. All this success has been accomplished by an all-volunteer production team, who have embraced qFLIX’s mission as their own. As a mission driven family of LGBTQ+ film festivals, we believe that our stories

are the soul of our community and are best expressed in the arts. As such, these stories must be shared far and wide. Our stories gathered from around the world, educate, empower, entertain, and inspire a people to move further towards equality, and into a world that is not simply diverse and inclusive, but one that creates a sense of belonging for all LGBTQ+ people. Q***r film inspires the imagination and encourages the journey of discovery and acceptance by both the ever-growing LGBTQ+ and the mainstream communities. qFLIX Philadelphia is the largest LGBTQ+ arts and cultural event between NYC and Miami. About Us: Founded in 2014 as a new festival, with new media and a new attitude, qFLIX Philadelphia is rooted in 26 years of LGBTQ+ film festival leadership. We believe that experiencing our voices, stories and visions on film from around the world, from birth to death, from the loved to the loveless, from youth to maturity, helps lift us forward as individuals and as a community. Film as an international language allows qFLIX Philadelphia to foster, support, and give access to independent filmmakers and to encourage and nurture younger ones in the art of filmmaking.
