The Egyptian Museum in Tahrir has completed the conservation and restoration work on the papyrus of the scribe User-Hat-Mes, from the Late Period, as part of ongoing efforts to preserve the country’s archaeological heritage according to international standards.

⚠️⚠️⚠️ The Call for Papers for the 13th Birmingham Egyptology Symposium is out! ⚠️⚠️⚠️

The Symposium will be held on Thursday 14 May 2026, with the theme being "Work in Progress".
If you have research you are working on currently or recently completed, this conference may be a great opportunity to present your work.

👩‍💻👨‍💻 This Symposium is aimed at postgraduate researchers, early career researchers, and independent researchers, and means all are welcome to submit and/or attend.

📄 To submit an abstract, please include:
- Title (30 words max.)
- Abstract (300 words max.)
- Type of presentation (either 20-minute presentation or poster)
- How you would like to participate (in-person or via Zoom)
