Buy your strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, etc at a farmers market directly from the grower. Ask how the berry plants grow. There is NO POINT in buying "certified-organic" hydroponically grown berries: they have no taste or nutrition, and are a MAJOR source of plastic pollution.

Most people have heard that we GMOs to feed the world. That was the corporate argument which has now resulted in nearly 75% of all planted acres in the US being in corn and soybeans engineered to be grown with toxic synthetic pesticides that create climate change and destroy biodiversity. The US now imports 60% of of our produce. Corn and soy are exported, used as feed for confined livestock, or ethanol ingredients; they are NOT FOOD. This happened because the USDA Farm Bill was formed to meet Big Ag demands. Tell your US senators and Reps now what priorities you want for the next Farm Bill.

The U.S. is growing less and less of its own food and is becoming increasingly dependent on foreign countries to feed itself as a result.
