Today was a tough one.
We had multiple content creators running around Kensington treating our community like it’s something to film instead of something to care about. People out here are struggling, fighting for their lives every single day… and instead of helping, some are choosing to exploit that pain for views, followers, and attention.
What really hit us was seeing someone who claims to have lived this life before… now using someone still out there to wear spyware-style glasses and walk with her—so when she interacts with people, they don’t even realize they’re being recorded. That’s not awareness. That’s deception.
Then you’ve got another kid who traveled here from across the state, posting about how “Kensington is like a candy store for drugs,” bragging about how cheap and potent everything is. Like CJ always says — not all awareness is good awareness. That type of messaging doesn’t help… it attracts people here for all the wrong reasons.
This is real life. These are real people. This is not content.
It’s sad how many people see tragedy and immediately think “opportunity.”
Just know this — we’re not standing by.
We’ll be out in full force tomorrow doing what we do every Saturday… but we’ll also be out there walking, checking on our people, making sure nobody is being taken advantage of. And that goes for anyone — content creators, cops, dealers… it doesn’t matter.
We protect our community. Period.
We all have a responsibility to stand against this type of behavior. If you’re coming to Kensington, come to help… not to exploit.
From the Streets, For the Streets.
