Late post from Sunday…
We served over 200 people! Baked ziti, peach cobbler, snacks, drinks and hygiene packs. Distributed clothing, sleeping bags and backpacks. We also were joined by April who made hundreds of care packs to give out in memory of her mom Ronnie Sue Kaiser. Ronnie served as the president of Angels in Motion for 10 years. Angels in motion have helped so many over the years and continue to do so weekly in a multitude of ways. We are also thankful for Susan Fasulo for being a constant show of support to anyone struggling in addiction. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our cause. Special thanks to Mare and teamkenzcanz for their generous donation of sleeping bags And backpacks!

TRIGGER WARNING GRAPHIC PHOTOS!!!!

Today was an absolutely wonderful day of outreach! Over 200 people were served. We were joined by Pastor Joe and members of Siloam United Methodist church. On the menu was scrambled eggs, pancakes, potatoes, fried chicken, peach cobbler, bagged lunches and drinks. We also distributed care packs, backpacks and clothing/shoes. We were surprised by one of our friends and his parents. He came to help out after not seeing him for months and he is rocking sobriety! Amy did some much needed wound care. Some of our friends called home and we ubered one of our special friends to the hospital which she really needs. Please keep her in your thoughts And pray that she stays. We also delivered food to a few of our friends who couldn’t make the trip to us. Jenna and Amy also delivered two truckloads of clothing to the Everywhere Project who is an amazing organization that’s helps so many people. We also followed up with family members whose loved ones we made contact with. We also did a cleanup of the block.
Special thank you to Kelly MacMullett Maturo and Ashley Marie Miller for donating all of the breakfast foods! Our friends were so grateful to have it ❤️
As always thank you Susan Fasulo for always taking our calls and pointing us in the right direction on certain care needs for our friends!

Today was a tough one.
We had multiple content creators running around Kensington treating our community like it’s something to film instead of something to care about. People out here are struggling, fighting for their lives every single day… and instead of helping, some are choosing to exploit that pain for views, followers, and attention.
What really hit us was seeing someone who claims to have lived this life before… now using someone still out there to wear spyware-style glasses and walk with her—so when she interacts with people, they don’t even realize they’re being recorded. That’s not awareness. That’s deception.
Then you’ve got another kid who traveled here from across the state, posting about how “Kensington is like a candy store for drugs,” bragging about how cheap and potent everything is. Like CJ always says — not all awareness is good awareness. That type of messaging doesn’t help… it attracts people here for all the wrong reasons.
This is real life. These are real people. This is not content.
It’s sad how many people see tragedy and immediately think “opportunity.”
Just know this — we’re not standing by.
We’ll be out in full force tomorrow doing what we do every Saturday… but we’ll also be out there walking, checking on our people, making sure nobody is being taken advantage of. And that goes for anyone — content creators, cops, dealers… it doesn’t matter.
We protect our community. Period.
We all have a responsibility to stand against this type of behavior. If you’re coming to Kensington, come to help… not to exploit.
From the Streets, For the Streets.

☀️ HAPPY SUNDAY!!!! ☀️

What a successful outreach we had today. We served over 200 people at both Clearfield and Somerset!

Dawn and Leigh cooked and wrapped up hundreds of hot dogs to be handed out🌭
We served a fan favorite of cereal and milk, in addition to hot turkey sandwiches, snacks, drinks, and hygiene packs.

Leigh’s church, Resurrection Episcopal continues to support our organization on a weekly basis, we are truly so thankful for you! ⛪️ Jack, as always helped us hand out the abundance of supplies we had today.

Colleen (1) brought tons of clothing, and Colleen (2) brought mats from Mats of Ministry. Liv was also a massive help today, representing Team KenCanz while Mare is running their annual bowling fundraiser!

Katie provided wound care to a friend who lost 8 of his fingers to frostbite, and another suffering from leg wounds. This winter was so brutally cold, and we are seeing the effects of it.

Other highlights of the day:
- Ubering a friend to the hospital
- Having someone call home
- Cleaned up the block
- Caught up with some regulars!!
-distributed rain ponchos

Today was a great day of outreach and we were joined by Overbrook Presbyterian Church. We served baked ziti, meatballs, strawberry cheesecake dessert, bagged lunches with Turkey sandwiches, snacks and drinks. We distributed clothing, shoes, blankets, backpacks, care packages from St.Thomas the Apostle school and sleeping bags. We talked to quite a few about rehab and left our phone number with them for when they are ready. Let some people call home. Ubered one friend home from Kensington. We also met a girl who is unhoused and pregnant. I spoke with her at great length about the importance of prenatal care and rehab of course in a very non judgmental way and out of love. She didn’t accept help today but we gave her resources and asked her to come see us next Sunday to talk some more. I really wish we could have done more for her at that very moment I know I won’t be able to stop thinking about her or that baby. We sent some leftover meatballs to a shelter. We also did a cleanup of the area. Amy did alot of much needed wound care. Samantha delivered some clothing, food and hygiene products to some of our friends who are in recovery and staying at a shelter. We also walked the ave and delivered some meals to those who have trouble walking. Thank you so much to everyone who donate supplies we could not do this without you ❤️
