We are excited to announce our new Assistant Vice Provost & Senior Director, Dr. Dana Dawson!

Dana has been at Temple since 2007 and has extensive experience with teaching, curriculum development and assessment, student advising, and program administration in higher education. She previously served as Associate Director of Teaching and Learning at the CAT, where she provided individualized support for faculty with course design and instruction. She also leads initiatives to advance evidence-based teaching and curricular practices shown to promote deep learning and manages CAT's Teaching in Higher Education Certificates.

We at the CAT are excited to see what the future holds!

Stephanie Fiore, Associate Vice Provost & Sr. Director at the Center for the Advancement of Teaching, is retiring tomorrow, June 30, 2026 after over 25 years at Temple University. This end-of-semester message is also a fond farewell message to all the faculty colleagues Stephanie has worked with throughout the years.

The CAT Family thanks Stephanie for her fearless leadership and dedication to our team and to the Temple community, and we wish her all the best in her well-deserved retirement.
