YPACS is a community-based volunteer group made up of young professionals dedicated to assisting the American Cancer Society in saving lives and creating a world with more birthdays. Members of YPACS will be exposed to networking, learning from experts in the field as well as one another, and opportunities to engage in service. We will have fun while working to accomplish the mission of the American Cancer Society and ACS CAN.

Last week, GenNow members Rebecca and Nazbi attended the Young Professional Council Networking event hosted by the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia at Gather Food Hall! They enjoyed meeting other young professionals in the area and hearing from the various speakers. We are grateful to be members of the Chamber of Commerce and always appreciate the events that are centric to empowering Philly's young leaders.

Happy Pride Day from GenNow! At the American Cancer Society, we are constantly working to improve the lives of the LGBTQ+ community who are at risk for cancer or have been diagnosed with cancer.

People who identify as LGBTQ+ may have a higher risk of getting cancer than those who identify as heterosexual or cisgender. Potential cancer disparities in cervical, breast, lung, and other types of cancer are largely due to discrimination and other factors. Resources are available by visiting cancer.org and searching "LGBTQ health" 🌈
