Garden Court Community Association

Garden Court Community Association We are an organization working to carry out projects to improve the Garden Court community. Our boundaries are 45th St, 52nd St, Cedar Ave, and Locust St.

The Garden Court Community Association (GCCA) is a voluntary membership organization of people working together for over 50 years to make our community the best possible place to live. Since the mid-1950s, GCCA has coordinated efforts to solve neighborhood problems and has carried out projects to improve the community. The organization’s objectives are to foster good interpersonal relationships and cooperation among all persons living, working, or interested in our community. GCCA’s boundaries are 45th Street, 52nd Street, Cedar Avenue, and Locust Street. Our neighborhood is made up of individuals and families with a rich diversity of ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds. We reside in apartments and single-family houses and represent a variety of income levels and occupations. The membership of GCCA fully reflects this diversity and is committed to preserving it. The City recognizes GCCA as the group officially representing our community.

These are some of the people who volunteered and spoke at our ANNUAL MEETING. I am grateful for their donations of time and talent. It was fabulous meeting and the reward included delicious pot luck food items.

45th to 52nd Streets and Cedar Avenue to Locust Street.
Also come out and join neighbors at our Annual meeting.
It is 2 hours, Saturday June 13th, 1:30-2:30 at 123 S. 51st Street.
There will be:
great speakers and
tasty Pot Luck.
Learn about past accomplishments and future plans.
Meet neighbors including fabulous volunteers.

The Garden Court Community Association Annual Meeting will take place on
Saturday, June 13th, 1:30 - 3:30 PM, at
West Philadelphia Mennonite Fellowship
(formerly Mosaic Community Church) at
123 South 51st Street (the NE corner of 51st and Sansom).

Paul Steinke, the Executive Director of
the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia, will give a thoughtful presentation on the
"Trials, Tribulations and Triumphs of Historic Preservation in our Own Backyard"

UCD will let us know about latest and upcoming developments.

There will be Pot Luck refreshments.

The meeting is Free, and we hope it will inspire you to join or renew membership in our volunteer organization and help grow a stronger neighborhood.
