ity. The company, comprised of dance artists from Philadelphia and New York City, is committed to engaging with the community through performance and dance education, from traditional theatrical stages to unique venues and public spaces. Recent performances include: Built on Stilts Dance Festival on Martha’s Vineyard, Awbury Arboretum, Delaware Art Museum, NACHMO at the Actors Fund Art Center, 30-30-30 at Dixon Place, Philadelphia Fringe Festival, West Park Arts Festival in Fairmount Park, Fringe at the Reading Terminal Market, FringeArts’ La Peg, Come Together Dance Festival, KYLD’s InHale and Koresh Artist Showcase. Flynn has been recognized for her “disciplined craftsmanship” and “expansive, full-bodied dancing” (The Dance Journal) and MFDC performances have been described as “a marley full of magnificent dancing, reminding us that art strengthens community” (The Dance Journal).

CCM welcomes Megan Flynn, MFA, as our new Assistant Professor of Dance. Flynn is a versatile dance educator, choreographer and performer. She is passionate about supporting students to discover a more expansive, holistic embodiment of dance technique, performance and art-making, which reflects her own journey as a dance artist.

Flynn joins CCM after serving as Resident Faculty at the Cincinnati Ballet’s Otto M. Budig Academy, where she taught across the Professional Training, Young Dancer, Preparatory and Adult Divisions. From 2022-24, she served as the Gustave L. Davis ’59 and Susan S. Davis Director of Dance/Artist-in-Residence at Union College in Schenectady, NY. Previously, Flynn was an Assistant Professor of Dance in the Theatre & Dance Department at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA, where she was on faculty from 2013-22. In addition to teaching courses in dance technique, choreography, improvisation and dance history, she served as the Artistic Director and a faculty mentor for the Muhlenberg Community Dance Center.

Cincinnati Fringe Festival 2026
Megan Flynn & Teresa VanDenend Sorge

Eleanor Roosevelt famously said, “Do one thing every day that scares you.” Returning Cincy Fringe dance artists, Megan Flynn and Teresa VanDenend Sorge (‘23, ‘24, ‘25) double dog dare each other to try something new— talking on stage. Longtime collaborators, the pair will bring their (actual) voices to their signature dance storytelling.

Fringe In Development shows are works in process that have rehearsals through the course of the festival, culminating in one ticketed performance!

We are thrilled to be performing “Mothering & Mourning” at the on Saturday February 28th at 1pm as part of the “Rooms of Grief” exhibit. Created by Megan Flynn & Teresa VanDenend Sorge, in collaboration with and this performance was selected by jury to premiere in the 2023 Cincinnati Fringe Festival. It is an honor to share this work again at the invitation of Kennedy Heights Arts Center after performing it in both Cincinnati and Charlotte, NC last year.

This intimate and moving performance expands the themes of “Rooms of Grief,” inviting audiences to consider how the body carries love, loss, and resilience.

The performance takes place at the KHAC Lindner Annex, 6620 Montgomery Road. Doors open at 12:30 pm. Rooms of Grief remains on view in the Kennedy Gallery through March 14.

Hello friends! We’ve been invited to present “Mothering & Mourning” at the on February 28th at 1pm as a special performance event in connection to their current exhibit, “Rooms of Grief.” Created by Megan Flynn and Teresa VanDenend Sorge, in collaboration with Rodney Veal Nadia Ureña and Lindsay Helock, “Mothering & Mourning” premiered in the Primary Line-Up of the 2023 . In 2025, we performed the work at McCord Hall in Cincinnati, and again at in North Carolina. This show is very special to us, and with thanks to our generous sponsors, tickets are free with RSVP. Hope you can make it!
