HAITI UPDATE of EJF Relief Efforts
We greatly appreciate everyone who have donated thus far; to date, we received over $3,000 in donations. On Labor Day, we met and discussed with key representatives of the church near the epicenter of the earthquake in Petite Riviere de Nippes. The area continue to experience continuous aftershocks and tremors. Families are afraid to take refuge under any building structures. We covered the expense of a shipment of donated 60 Tarps and Ropes, as well as rice, beans, and other basic foods to provide a hot meal during the distribution. The shipment will go out today. Meanwhile, we have secured a list of the families and learned there are other churches in the area in need of our support. We will share with you soon our plan to ensure these families receive donated funds directly. Please know that 100% of funds donated are going directly to Haitian families affected by the earthquake. We need your continued support to ensure families who have suffered casualties, loss of life and who are homeless benefit from your generosity. Thank you for your prayers for Haiti. Once again we are partnering with several groups to help provide support. Among them is a trusted female Pastor in Petite Riviere de Nippes, Earthquake Epicenter area, whose church is among the few buildings God graciously spared where families are taking refuge. In addition, we are again partnering with Pastor Maurice Choizi, President of the Haitian Clergy of Philadelphia, to raise funds and send first aid/medical supplies and toiletries to help Haitian families starting August 30, 2021 (more info on the list and location to follow).
