A HUGE thank you to UAW Local 1612 for standing in solidarity with the members of Local 19 at Lloyd Industries and refusing to cross our strike line.

That is what solidarity looks like.

Our members have been fighting for a fair contract, fair wages, affordable healthcare, safe working conditions, and a voice on the job. When fellow union members honor that line, it sends a powerful message, working people stand together.

We appreciate the brothers and sisters of UAW Local 1612 for having our backs and standing with the workers at Lloyd Industries.

THEY WANT TO WORK. THEY WANT TO NEGOTIATE.

The message from the Local 19 members at Lloyd Industries couldn’t be clearer.

These are skilled, hardworking people who want to be inside that shop working, producing, and providing for their families.

They don’t want to be standing on a strike line. They want to be at the bargaining table.

All they are asking is for Bill Lloyd to come back to the table and negotiate a fair contract.

The workers are ready. The table is ready. It’s time to negotiate.

15 LOCATIONS. TWO STATES. ONE UNION. LOCAL 19 EVERYWHERE.

From Philadelphia to Altoona, State College to South Jersey, Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 19 members were out across our jurisdiction today in 15 different locations getting out the vote and supporting the candidates and elected officials who support Local 19 and working people.

In Philadelphia, members joined Rep. Pat Gallagher for a neighborhood cleanup and literature drop. In Lower Bucks, we were out supporting Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick, Senator Frank Farry and Rep. K.C. Tomlinson. Across Bucks County, members were also supporting Kristin Egan and Tim Hayes for State Representative and Mark Pinsley for State Senate.

In Montgomery County, we were out for Chris Thomas for State Senate and Margaret Burke for State Representative. In Delaware County, Elizabeth Moro and Judy Trombetta for State Representative. In the Lehigh Valley, Bob Brooks for Congress and Mark Pinsley for State Senate.

And Local 19’s reach doesn’t stop at the Delaware River. In Burlington County, members were supporting fellow union member Randy Brolo for County Commissioner. In Camden County, we were out with the Democratic slate, and in Gloucester County, supporting Monroe Township Mayor Greg Wolfe and his council slate.

And those are only some of the races Local 19 is engaged in.

Philadelphia. Delaware. Bucks. Montgomery. Lehigh. Dauphin. State College. Altoona. Burlington. Camden. Gloucester.

We’re showing up. We’re organized. And we’re making sure the voices of working people are heard from our neighborhoods all the way to the halls of government.

Local 19 was proud to stand alongside Governor Josh Shapiro with our brothers from Local 12 and Local 44, together representing the Pennsylvania State Council of Sheet Metal Workers.

We had the opportunity to speak directly with the Governor about issues that matter not only to our members and signatory contractors, but to working families, businesses, and communities across Pennsylvania, specifically the Custom Fabrication legislation, SB 908.

This legislation is about making sure that when taxpayer dollars are invested in public construction, they support good paying Pennsylvania jobs, responsible contractors, strong local businesses and communities, and a stronger tax base that benefits the entire Commonwealth.

It’s about creating a level playing field, protecting Pennsylvania workers, and making sure public investment continues to strengthen Pennsylvania’s economy.

Local 19 and the Pennsylvania State Council will continue fighting to get this important legislation across the finish line.

Four weeks on the strike line and our members at Lloyd Industries are still standing strong.

These workers want to work. They want to be productive. And the work they do matters. Every day, they manufacture fire and smoke dampers, life safety products designed to help protect people inside buildings and first responders.

For four weeks, they have stood together fighting for fair wages, affordable healthcare, safe working conditions, and a voice on the job.

Their message remains simple: Bill Lloyd, come back to the table and negotiate with your workers.

The members on this line take pride in the important work they do. They’re ready to get back to doing it, with a fair contract that respects the people who make these critical products.

Local 19 was out in force across Pennsylvania today!

From the Lehigh Valley to Central PA and all the way into Blair and Centre counties, our members showed what it means to stand together and support candidates who understand the importance of working people and strong union jobs.

📍 Whitehall — Supporting Bob Brooks for Congress and Mark Pinsley for State Senate

📍 Harrisburg & York — Supporting Josh Shapiro for re-election and Janelle Stelson for Congress

📍 Hummelstown — Supporting Tom Mehaffie for re-election to the State House

📍 Altoona — Supporting Caleb McCoy for State Representative

📍 Snow Shoe — Supporting Paul Takac for re-election to the State House

Due to adverse weather conditions, we had to cancel today’s labor walks in Southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey, but this is only the beginning.

Our full political program will have 14 locations running across Local 19’s jurisdiction through Election Day, with members continuing to show up and make sure working families have a strong voice in this election.

A huge thank you to every Local 19 member who gave up part of their Saturday to participate today.
