Strong city vibes 💪 Under Mayor Parker, Philly is pushing forward — poverty down, homicides falling, population up. Proud of the grit, the growth, and the fight. Solidarity with unions, workers, and everyone who’s been part of this journey.

“$54,146 isn’t enough to inspire the future. Let’s fix it or strike.”

New Philadelphia educators are entering classrooms with a starting salary of just $54,146, a figure that doesn’t reflect the value they bring or the costs they shoulder. The union is stepping up, ready to demand fair pay and negotiate or strike if needed to ensure teachers aren’t shortchanged.

Education is the cornerstone of our communities. Fair compensation isn’t optional—it’s essential. Support our teachers.

Philadelphia educators, nearly 14,000 strong, are ready to stand up for fairness. With their contract set to expire on August 31, 2025, the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers is prepared to strike if an equitable agreement isn’t reached.

They’re advocating to end a punitive sick‑leave policy that forces meetings with principals after only three days off, to secure paid parental leave, to earn extra pay for oversized classes, and to restore school libraries.

Teachers don’t want to strike but they’re willing to, because every student deserves a stable, respected, and well-supported learning environment.

Philadelphia educators are already stretched thin, spending up to $1,000 of their own money on supplies are standing up not just for themselves, but for our students. With their contract set to expire on August 31, the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers is making it clear: enough is enough. Low wages, unfair sick-day penalties, oversized classes, and no paid parental leave are unacceptable.

This is about more than contracts; it’s about valuing the people who shape our future. If we want quality education, we must support the educators who make it happen. ✊

**🛠️✊ Philly, we see you. DC 33 workers stood strong for fair wages and respect and won a 3% raise each year for 3 years, a $1,500 signing bonus, plus a step increase for long‑served staff. This fight wasn’t just about trash trucks, it was about dignity, justice, and the public services we all depend on.

To the sanitation crews, dispatchers, maintenance teams, and every union member who stood on the picket line: we’ve got your back! More than a week of disruption led to a deal that boosts worker power and community care.

Now, trash pickup resumes, pools and libraries are reopening, but the momentum stays. Philly proves that collective action works! 💪🗑️**

Philly city workers aren’t backing down. 💥 95% of AFSCME District Council 33 members — sanitation, water, airport workers & more — have voted to authorize a strike if the city doesn’t meet demands for fair wages, healthcare, and pensions.

“We’re not playing about this,” said union president Greg Boulware. These workers keep Philly running — and they deserve to live in the city they serve. ✊🏿✊🏽✊🏻

Solidarity with DC 33 as they fight for dignity, security, and respect. 🧹💧✈️

Millions marched on June 14 for No Kings Day, the largest protest in U.S. history — demanding justice for immigrants, workers, and democracy itself. 🪧✊🏾 From NYC to LA to Philly, people stood shoulder to shoulder in defiance of authoritarianism, ICE raids, and attacks on our most vulnerable communities.

Labor voices rang loud: teachers, autoworkers, service workers, and federal employees joined the call — because when organized labor rises, so does everyone. 🌎💥

This is what solidarity looks like. Let’s keep building.

Philly’s city workers are standing up for fair wages, affordable housing, and dignity on the job. 💪 With contracts set to expire July 1, AFSCME District Council 33 has voted to authorize a strike if no deal is reached. These are the frontline workers who keep our city running — they deserve real investment, not broken promises.

Solidarity with all union members fighting for a better future! ✊🏽✊🏾✊🏻

🎉 5 years strong! Philly’s Fair Work Week laws are protecting thousands of hourly workers — making sure they get fair notice of schedules, compensation for sudden changes, and dignity in the workplace. 🗓️✊

Since the law passed, over $5.1 million in unpaid wages has been recovered for more than 2,600 workers — thanks to their courage to speak up and the city’s enforcement efforts. 💪💼

Union leaders reminded us: This is not just a celebration, it’s a warning. With anti-labor threats looming, we’ve got to stay organized, stay vocal, and show up — especially as we head into May Day. 🛠️🔥

Let’s keep pushing for fair schedules, fair pay, and a Philly that works for every worker.
