Dear Friends and Neighbors,
With the leaves falling, the turtles hunkered down for winter, and migrating ducks returning to the pond, we are reminded again just how fortunate we are to have Pastorius Park at the heart of our community.
Thanks to our community, 2025 has been an outstanding year at the park. We are grateful to the many volunteers who helped at spring and fall cleanups and throughout the year with planting, pruning, raking, collecting storm debris, caring for the pond and fountains, and so many other behind‑the‑scenes tasks.
This year we have another exciting reason to be thankful!
*Thanks to generous support from the Wyncote Foundation and a devoted Chestnut Hill neighbor, every donation made before December 31 will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $100,000. With $45,000 already committed, we must secure another $55,000 to unlock the full match.
This match is a vital step toward fully funding the Paul W. Meyer Northeast Woods Restoration Project, an effort to restore native woodland habitat, manage stormwater, and create a renewed tranquil experience for visitors to Pastorius Park. Your gift today, of any amount, will be doubled, helping to restore one of the park’s most ecologically important areas and honoring Paul Meyer’s legacy of environmental stewardship.
Pastorius Park belongs to all of us, and its future depends on our shared care and generosity. Together, we can ensure this historic landscape continues to inspire and enrich our community for generations to come. Gifts can be made at https://friendsofpastorius.org/matched
With Gratitude,
Friends of Pastorius Park Board
