Opera star Latonia Moore didn't find her voice alone. A mentor helped her get there. Now she's fighting to give that same chance to the next generation.

This year, ArtSmart paired 757 students with 58 mentors, and 95% say they've grown as artists. We have until July 31 to close out this program year.

Three-time Grammy Award winner Latonia Moore— opera star and ArtSmart’s Director of Engagement & Advocacy — led a vocal theater masterclass at Harlem Village Academy Middle School West. For an hour, she coached our students not just to sing, but to communicate: to find their focus, trust their voice, and own the room.

And she reminded them of something they’ll never forget; that a world-class artist was once sitting exactly where they are.

This is the kind of access that changes what a young person believes is possible. And it happens because of supporters like you.
