East Park Revitalization Alliance

East Park Revitalization Alliance East Park Revitalization Alliance (EPRA) is a community-based nonprofit that aims to empower residents to revitalize the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood.

Established in 2003 by neighborhood residents, the East Park Revitalization Alliance (EPRA) seeks to build a healthy community in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood, focusing on environmental improvement and health promotion. We turn vacant land into community gardens, operate programming to connect neighborhood residents to the adjacent park, have planted over 700 trees in the community and run

the successful “Healthy Choices” Youth Program, an after school and summer program for neighborhood youth ages 6-18 at our local recreation center that is based on giving youth the skills to make the healthy choices that will help them become healthy adults.

Our thanksgiving farm stand had to come inside bc of the weather but the greens are fresh! We have eggs, sweet potatoes, carrots, celery,apple cider and MORE! Everyone who stops in also gets free cranberry sauce. Come before its all gone.

INVISIBLE RIVER 2015 is a community river arts festival taking place on Saturday, August 29th from 2-8pm in East Fairmount Park on the Schuylkill River. It features a drum line processional down to the river, boat rentals on the Schuylkill, interactive art about the Schuylkill, food vendors and a beer garden! Our grand finale is a performance on water - 22 stand up paddle board dancers encircling the Strawberry Mansion Bridge while aerialists descend from above it! Paid and free boat rentals are available. To reserve a boat, and find out more information, please visit www.invisibleriver.org.
