Touching Lives in West Africa, Inc.’s mission is to encourage educational attainment for underprivileged youth in West Africa by using educational tools, supplies and other charitable outreach programs that promote school attendance and success rates. Our organization will work closely with international community residents, parents, volunteers, and staff members of schools to create a positive ne
twork on individuals to help youth succeed in school. We believe that students should have an opportunity to strive for greatness no matter what the social class of their family. Children's school attendance in most parts of West Africa is very low due to the lack of parents' ability to provide basic materials such as school supplies, uniforms, and other critical books necessary to pursue their education. Our organization will collect these supplies and distribute them to youth living in the community so that they have an opportunity to attend local schools. We will also have a scholarship program so that youth that live in areas where public schooling is poor will have an opportunity to attend private schools that will provide them better opportunities to succeed in life. Our resources are available to parents of any child from Kindergarten to High School. Touching Lives in West Africa, Inc. will also engage in bi-yearly lectures to the international communities we serve where we discuss the importance of educating the younger generation. Our goal is to empower communities and prolong the lives of children through education and resources that will allow individuals to escape poverty. We believe that a better educational standard is the key to reshaping the world and providing a better future to communities around the globe.
