District Council 33 came out in full force at the AFSCME 47th Annual Convention. Our delegation made it clear that Philadelphia shows up, stands tall, and leads with strength. The room felt electric as we watched the election of AFSCME’s new leadership, and we were proud to be part of that historic moment. We were equally proud to honor outgoing President Lee Saunders with a small token of our gratitude for his many years of solid leadership, dedication, and powerful commitment to working people across this country. DC33 represents unity, pride, and purpose, and we are ready to keep pushing forward with the same energy we brought to the convention.

District Council 33 proudly extends our strongest congratulations to Patrick Moran, newly elected President of AFSCME International, and Nicole Pollard, newly elected Secretary Treasurer of AFSCME International.

Their elections mark a powerful moment for our union family. Both leaders have built their reputations on organizing, advocacy, and a deep commitment to public service workers. We know they will continue the fight for all working families with bold vision, fierce determination, and a dedication to the members who keep our communities running.

District Council 33 stands firmly with President Moran and Secretary Treasurer Pollard as they lead AFSCME into its next chapter. Their leadership strengthens our movement, and working families across this nation will feel the impact.
