Three years ago today, on October 7th, 1,200 people were murdered and 251 taken hostage. Today we remember every life lost, we hold the families in our hearts, and tell their stories.

This summer, our Maccabiah delegation had the chance to bear witness as part of Israel Connect, visiting Sderot, Tkuma, and the Nova festival site. We walked these places, heard stories from survivors and community members, and saw the resilience of a people who refuse to be broken.

We came to Israel to compete, but we left with something bigger: a deeper connection to the land, the people, and each other.

Never forget. Am Yisrael Chai. 🇮🇱

As we celebrate Sukkot, we reflect on the incredible community we built together in Israel this summer at the 2026 Maccabiah.

From competitions and cheering in the stands to sharing meals, exploring Israel, and making memories together, the Maccabiah brought our delegation closer through a shared experience that will stay with us long after the Games.

This Sukkot, we’re grateful for the friendships, connections, and sense of community that made this summer so special. Chag Sukkot Sameach from all of us at Maccabi USA!

The High Holidays offer an opportunity to reflect on the past year, the experiences that shaped us, and the connections we’ve made along the way. This summer’s Maccabiah was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish together, bringing our community to Israel to compete, connect, and celebrate Jewish pride. As we look ahead to the new year, we carry those memories, and the sense of unity they created with us.

As Yom Kippur approaches, we wish everyone G’mar Chatimah Tovah (“a good final sealing” in the Book of Life) and a meaningful fast.

Today, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the families, friends, and communities forever changed on that day.

We honor the first responders, service members, medical professionals, and ordinary citizens who whose courage, compassion, and selflessness continue to inspire us.

Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives and legacies that remain part of our collective memory. We stand together, care for one another, and ensure their stories are never forgotten.

Today and always, we remember.

On behalf of the volunteers and professionals at Maccabi USA, we wish you a sweet and joyous New Year!

As we welcome 5787 tomorrow, we reflect on the moments, friendships, and connections that made this past year so meaningful for the Maccabi USA community.

This past summer, we made our return to Israel for the 2026 Maccabiah, showcasing our Jewish pride and unity on the global stage. Across three unforgettable weeks, our athletes, coaches, volunteers, and professionals came together ti compete, connect, and experience Israel in a truly meaningful way. From the field of play to the unforgettable experiences of our Israel Connect program, the Maccabiah was a celebration of our community and the lasting connections that make Maccabi USA so special. As we enter the New Year, we carry those memories and connections with us into 5787.

Wishing you and your loved ones a meaningful Rosh Hashanah and sweet, happy, and healthy New Year.
