Ralph Brooks Revitalization Project

Ralph Brooks Revitalization Project The Ralph Brooks Community Park Project will be the first phase in a collaborative endeavor between local community organizations I.AM.SP.

A collaborative community revitalization led by I.am.SP and Urban Roots is a project focused on strengthening Philadelphia's Point Breeze neighborhood through redevelopment, arts, and recreation. and Urban Roots, in partnership with The Rucker Foundation of Harlem, NY. The goal of the project is to empower and strengthen communities, as well as provide recreation and social support for neighborhoo

d youth through the redevelopment and revitalization of defunct basketball courts and their surrounding spaces. Ralph Brooks Park will be the first in what we hope will become one of many renovated basketball facilities and community spaces in some of the country's largest urban centers

Urban Roots will manage planning and redevelopment, focusing specifically on the the most distressed communities. I.AM.SP will manage the programming of the parks, once completed. This will lay the framework for The Rucker Foundation to involve their one-of-a-kind partnerships, sponsorships and networks to enhance these communities. Such sponsors include AND 1, Foot Locker, EA, Sports, Wilson, Red Bull, and PowerAde among many others. We are extremely excited to begin this collaboration in the City of Brotherly Love!
