The Hunt for WW-1, U.S. Army soldiers in Russia is now underway.
This past week, the East West Museum, Millville New Jersey, has received permission from the Russian Government to start work with the Russian Academy of Archaeological Sciences in a newly formed teaming arrangement for the exploitation, research and discovery of missing soldiers, still unaccounted for, from World War 1 in the Archangel Region of Russia where members of the U.S. Army 339th Regiment (the Polar Bears) fought numerous battles during and after the war. We are searching for the remains of 20+ MIA U.S. Army soldiers in the region and with the help of the Russian Government we feel that we will be successful in this effort. Plans are underway to host the first-ever, Polar Bear, symposium, made up of researchers, librarians, archaeologists, national and international news media along with family members. Very soon we are hopeful in the recovery of these U.S. Army soldiers to be turned over to family members.
