🏚️ Homelessness Is a Systemic Failure—Not a Personal One

Let’s be clear:
People don’t end up unhoused because they’re lazy, irresponsible, or “don’t want help.”

They end up unhoused because the system is rigged against them.

🔹 Rent keeps rising, but wages don’t.
🔹 There are more empty luxury units than affordable homes.
🔹 Shelters are unsafe, overcrowded, and sometimes abusive.
🔹 Landlords discriminate freely—against race, disability, religion, records.
🔹 Mental health care is underfunded or criminalized.
🔹 Poverty is punished.

The truth is:
➡️ We have enough housing.
➡️ We have enough money.
➡️ We have enough resources.
We just don’t have a system that protects people over profit.

Homelessness is not inevitable. It’s a policy choice.
And it’s time we call it what it is: a failure of justice, not of character.

🎀 🎗Ribbon cutting ceremony tomorrow! 🎀🎗

🫂🙏🏻🙏🏿💛 Thank you to all the generous donors who made our new Transitional Housing program a possibility!

🏘 We are able to house 12 more young people 18-24 in need who are experiencing homelessness and survivors of trafficking. Each unit is fully renovated and furnished and staff will be on site 24/7.
