Meet Shadow — the tortoiseshell queen who knows exactly what she wants 🧡🖤

Shadow is a sweet, affectionate, and spirited girl who lives life on her own terms. She’s a devoted companion who loves being close to her people — think cozy evenings curled up beside your legs rather than on your lap, always within reach but never without her dignity. Shadow’s story is one of resilience.

After losing her original owner, she found herself in a barn — a situation she made abundantly clear was not for her. It didn’t take long for her new caretaker to notice that this girl had indoor queen written all over her. She was brought inside, given the cushy life she deserved, and now she’s ready to find her forever home. As a true tortie, Shadow has opinions — and one of her strongest is that your attention belongs to her.

She would thrive as the sole feline in the home, where she can soak up every bit of love without competition. That said, she’s shown a curious interest in a dog before, so a calm, cat-savvy pup who respects her space might just earn her approval.

👑 Vivianne
Sweet, goofy, and absolutely ready to be your new best friend. Vivianne brings the giggles and the cuddles in equal measure — she’ll have you laughing one minute and melting the next. A playful soul wrapped in a gorgeous coat. 🧡

🌿 Fern
Quietly captivating, Fern takes in the world with gentle eyes and a peaceful heart. She’s the kind of cat who makes a house feel calm and full at the same time. Perfect for anyone who loves a serene, observant companion by their side. 🍃

🍝 Miss Macaroni
Cool, collected, and completely her own cat. Miss Macaroni does things on her own terms — but when she’s ready to play, she brings the fun. Independent and placid, she’s the perfect match for someone who appreciates a cat with a little mystery. 😏

Miss Macaroni has been through A LOT, but that has never stopped her from being an absolute sweetheart. Shes looking for her next chapter to be filled with love, patience, and kindness, something that she truly deserves!

As Miss Mac’s family, you can look forward to: silly little hops when she sees you and is ready to play, watching her lose her little mind over a wand or catnip toy, feeling truly blessed when she asks for pets, and delighting in her fiendish obsession with squeezy treats.

Shaolin is a nearly 4-year-old pit bull with a big personality, a bigger heart, and just the right mix of playful energy and laid-back charm. Affectionate, charismatic, and a little bit of a goofball, Shaolin is the kind of dog who will keep you smiling.

He loves being around people and has a funny, endearing way of showing it through gentle nibbles, kisses, and his signature “knucklehead” antics. Whether he’s leaning in for pets or trying to make a new friend, Shaolin brings warmth and personality wherever he goes. He enjoys the simple things in life: long walks, car rides, and spending time outside watching the world go by (and hopefully meeting a few admirers along the way).

He has a medium energy level, happy to play and be active, but also content to relax once he’s had his exercise. Shaolin does have some training needs, but he’s a quick learner and has already shown how responsive he can be with guidance. He would benefit from continued work on leash manners, as he can pull when excited, as well as basic obedience to help him be his very best self. He is crate trained and does well with structure.

He is not aggressive with other dogs, though he can get a bit excited and would benefit from continued socialization to build his confidence and manners. A home with teens or adults would likely be the best fit, and any introductions to other pets should be done thoughtfully.

Shaolin also has a known allergy to poultry (chicken, turkey, etc.), so he will need a home that can accommodate a simple, consistent diet.

Shaolin came into rescue through no fault of his own. His previous owner loved him deeply but made the difficult decision to surrender him to ensure he could continue receiving the care and stability he deserves. With the right person or family, someone patient, engaged, and ready to continue his training, Shaolin will be an incredibly loyal, loving, and entertaining companion. He’s a special dog who’s ready for his next chapter 🩵

This weekend is Roxborough Spring Fest and we’re so excited to have our Community Hub open for folks to pop in 🐾

🐾 A collar can save your pet’s life — or cost it one.
