Nehemiah expressed interest in having a job, and through collaboration among his Occupational Therapist, Taylor, Speech Language Pathologist, Jackie, and our Vice President and Director of Education, Theresa, we supported the development of this opportunity.

“Man Man the Weather Man” began a couple of summers ago, and now Nehemiah delivers the weather during weekly morning announcements. Using a customized AAC page set, he independently prepares and presents each report.

We support student goals by creating meaningful opportunities that build communication and independence.

Today, we celebrate our graduates, Saalim, Sabrina, Eddie, Bower, and their families, as we mark this important milestone. 🎓

Each student’s journey to this moment reflects the teamwork, support, and collaboration that made it possible.

Graduation is both a celebration and a transition, and we are so grateful to be part of this moment with our students as they step into their next chapter.

We’re sharing a few moments from the Acting Without Boundaries Acting Lab Club. 🎭

For many of our families, one of the biggest questions is what comes next after HMS. Programs like this are designed with that in mind.

Funded through the William Penn Grant, the Acting Lab Club connects students and families to inclusive community spaces they can continue to be part of beyond their time here.

By starting these experiences now, students are able to build confidence, familiarity, and real relationships while they are still supported. Our goal is for every transition to feel less uncertain and more like a natural next step.

A little reminder for our HMS family 💚

Dollar Stroll is happening tomorrow on Baltimore Avenue, and we’d love to see some familiar faces out there.

We’ll be set up right outside the school (4400 Baltimore Avenue), so please stop by, say hello, and grab some HMS swag. It’s always special to connect with all of you outside of the school day.

Please bring the kids, bring a friend, and come enjoy the neighborhood's energy with us.

Challenge accepted! Social Media Club set out on a mission to "pass the note" to some of the people who help make HMS a place of care, connection, and support for our students every day.

Keep watching to see who gets the note next. 👀

Thank you to the Univest Financial team for spending the day with us at HMS, rolling up their sleeves for a backyard refresh and helping bring new life to our outdoor spaces.

Their time and effort directly support the spaces our students rely on every day, and it truly means a lot to our community.

Fun fact: Univest is also a supporter of our Annual Community Day. More details on this year’s event coming soon.
