Philly, we're down bad right now. 😭🦅🗑

The Birds are down. We're behind in The Clean-Off. And honestly, we're getting a little tired of losing to other cities.

Chicago and LA are ahead of us, and WE NEED YOUR HELP!

The good news? We've got FIVE group cleanups happening this week, so there are plenty of chances to help Philly make a comeback!

🧹 MONDAY — South Philly
🧹 WEDNESDAY — North Philly
🧹 THURSDAY — Kensington
🧹 SATURDAY — North Philly
🧹 SUNDAY — Germantown

Come to one. Come to all five. Bring your friends, neighbors, coworkers, kids, whoever wants to help!

Never been to one of our cleanups? COME! We provide the supplies, you meet some really great people, and together we make our neighborhoods a little cleaner.

Can't make a group cleanup? GO SOLO!

Clean your block, your favorite park, or that corner you've been walking past for months thinking, "Someone really needs to clean that up." Plot twist: YOU can be that someone!

Fill some bags, snap a photo, and submit your trash on our website so it counts toward Philly's total. Link in bio.

We've got the rest of October to turn this around. But we can't do it without you.

LET'S GO, PHILLY! 💚

Well, today didn’t go exactly as planned… but we still got it done! 😅

We were SO excited for our 4th Annual Train Tracks Cleanup, but unfortunately, CSX wasn’t able to grant us permission in time to safely clean along the tracks.

So we did what Philly does best… we adapted, showed up, and got to work anyway!

We shifted our cleanup to the surrounding Lemon Hill area, picked up plenty of trash and still made a difference in our neighborhood.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who showed up, rolled with the last-minute change, and helped us make the most of the day. We seriously appreciate you all!

We’re hoping to partner with CSX later this month to finally tackle the train tracks with the proper permissions and safety measures in place. That area needs some serious love, and we’re not giving up on it. Stay tuned!

And speaking of unfinished business… 👀

We’ll be sharing the latest Clean-Off scoreboard on MONDAY! Who’s leading? Who’s catching up? Is Philly making moves against Chicago and LA?!

You’ll have to wait and see. 😂

In the meantime, we have LOTS more cleanups happening throughout October, and we’d love to see you at one!

North Philly, we need you this weekend. 🧹

Join us for our 4th Annual Train Tracks Cleanup this Saturday as part of the Clean-Off and help us put some serious bags on the board for Philly.

📍 Meet at 30th & Pennsylvania Ave.
📅 Saturday, October 10
⏰ 10 AM–12 PM

This is a big cleanup, and we need as much help as possible. Because we’ll be cleaning near the train tracks, ages 18+ are recommended.

We’ll provide all the cleanup supplies, and water will be provided thanks to Liquid Death.

Every bag counts, and we are not trying to lose this thing by four bags again.

Come clean with us this Saturday!

Philly, we need help!
We have cleanups happening all over the city throughout October, and we’d love to see you at one (or five 👀).
But you don’t have to wait for us.
Grab your neighbors and create your own group cleanup. Get your coworkers together. Take the kids around the block. Or throw on your headphones, grab a bag and go solo.
However you do it, the process is pretty simple:
Clean up some trash. Take a pic. Submit your bags on our website.
BAM. 💥 Philly is closer to the W.
That’s it.
Last year we lost to Chicago by FOUR bags, so when we say every bag matters… we really mean it. 😂
Come meet some great people, do something good for your neighborhood, and help Philly take this thing home.
Join us. Start your own. Go solo. Just don’t forget to LOG IT.

She’s only been on this earth for a little over ONE year and she’s already putting in work. 😂

It’s never too early (or too late) to start taking care of your neighborhood and doing your little part to make this world a better place.

And apparently, Team Philly is recruiting young. 😂

Every bag counts. Every person counts. And sometimes the smallest volunteers bring the biggest energy.

TWO chances to help Philly climb that Clean-Off scoreboard this week! 🧹
Chicago may be sitting in first place right now, but October is just getting started.
Come grab a bag with us at two community cleanups this week:

TUESDAY — SOUTH PHILLY
📍 Wharton Square Playground
📅 October 6 | 5:30–7:30 PM
We’re teaming up with Homies Helping Homies for an evening cleanup. All ages and abilities welcome!

SATURDAY — NORTH PHILLY
📍 Meet at 30th & Pennsylvania Ave.
📅 October 10 | 10 AM–12 PM
It’s our 4th Annual Train Tracks Cleanup! This is a BIG one, so we need as many hands as we can get. Because we’ll be working near the train tracks, 18+ is recommended.
We’ll bring the cleanup supplies, and Liquid Death is keeping our volunteers hydrated.

Can’t make either cleanup? Your block counts too! We’ve already had so many Philadelphians cleaning their own streets and submitting their bags and we LOVE seeing it. 💚

Grab a bag, clean your block, take a photo and log your trash.
Last year we learned the hard way that every. single. bag. counts. 😭

PHILLY… we’ve got a score to settle. 👀

Week 1 numbers are in:

🥇 Chicago: 134 bags
🥈 LA: 118 bags
🥉 Philly: 103 bags

Chicago is currently 31 bags ahead of us.

After todays loss, we can't let LA have TWO reasons to talk trash this week. 😭

Philly, you know what to do:

CLEAN IT. 📍
TAKE A PIC. 📸
LOG IT. 🗑️

Clean your block. Grab your neighbors. Get your coworkers together. Join one of our organized cleanups. Go out by yourself for 20 minutes. Every full bag counts toward Philly’s score.

A HUGE thank you to the incredible organizations, community partners, and volunteers who showed up alongside us this whole week.

And it’s not just our organized cleanups! We’ve already had people submit bags from cleaning their own blocks, streets, parks, and neighborhoods.

28 BAGS — IN THE RAIN!

What an awesome cleanup today! The weather definitely didn’t make it easy, but that didn’t stop this crew from showing up and putting in some REAL work.

With 4 The Homies, we collected 28 bags of trash and made a huge difference in just a few hours.

We absolutely loved partnering with this amazing group and are so grateful to everyone who came out, got soaked, got their hands dirty, and helped us keep adding bags to Philly’s Clean-Off total. This is what community looks like!

And we’re not slowing down!

NEXT CLEANUP: TUESDAY, OCTOBER 6th with 4 The Homies
⏰ 5:30–7 PM

What a way to kick off The Clean-Off! 🙌
We had an amazing cleanup today in Northern Liberties with REACH Eastern North Liberties, and we couldn’t have asked for a better group of volunteers to get this competition started.

So many people showed up, got to work, filled bags, and helped make the neighborhood cleaner, exactly the kind of Philly energy we need if we’re going to take down Chicago and LA this October. 👀
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped us start strong!

And we’re not done yet…
📍 TOMORROW: SOUTH PHILLY
Come help us add even more bags to Philly’s total!

Sign up www.blockbyblockphilly.org/cleanoff, also link in bio!

Can’t join us? Clean your own block, take a photo, and log your trash. Every bag counts.

Let’s keep it going, Philly!!
