Maybe you are interested in knowing more about the future of the club.

Well here’s your chance to have all your questions answered. Come out to our general membership meeting this Thursday Nov 11th at 9 pm and in December 9th @ 9pm. The meetings are always on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 9 pm . They will also be posted on the website too like they have been done in the past. Please come out to hear what the club has going on and ask questions about how to volunteer, expressed concerns or offer suggestions.Everyone is always welcomed, the more the merrier!

Travel Basketball is Back!

The time has come to prepare for the Winter 2022 Travel Basketball season. Registrations will be opening for the Travel program beginning on Sunday 10/3 and will be closing on Wednesday 10/27. No late registrations will be accepted. Tryouts will be held the first two weeks in November, for each age group with a sufficient number of players registered. Every player must make it to at least one of the tryouts for their age group.

Practices will begin after Thanksgiving and the league season will likely begin in early January. Age groups available for the league for both boys and girls are from ages 7-16. The number of teams and divisions available will be dependent upon registrations received. The registration will be to sign up for tryouts, so there will be no cost at that time. If selected for a team, invitations will be sent for the registration to be finalized and payment to be made. Good news . . . since we will be returning to our normal league, the cost will be reduced compared to last year. Cost for Travel will be $130.

Some very important notes:
- Sizes for uniforms (jerseys and shorts) will be requested at the initial registration for tryouts. Due to shipping delays, it is necessary for us to provide to our vendor the approximate quantities that are needed.
- Guidelines established by the City of Philadelphia will be followed.
- If you are interested in coaching, please indicate that when registering your child.

Basketball is back!

We are excited to announce that Parkwood will be hosting the 2022 Intramural Basketball season. Registration is NOW OPEN! Registration will be closing on Sunday 11/07 No late registrations will be accepted.

Practices will begin after Thanksgiving and the league season will likely begin in early January. This program is coed for ages 3yr-10yr. The number of teams and divisions available will be dependent upon registrations received. The registration cost is $60 which includes a team jersey.

-Ages 3-4 yrs will be “Introduction to Basketball”.
-This is a beginner level learning basics like dribble, passing and shooting. Also, a chance to interact with other children and have fun.

- Ages 5-6 yrs will be “Intermediate Level”
- This is a more advanced level. Working on skills and team play while still having fun.

- Ages 7-8 yrs will be “First step to Travel”
- This is more of a development level to get the kids ready for travel.

Ages 9-10 yrs
- Will continue to develop players in a more competitive environment preparing players for travel.
