KPAC students had a beautiful day at Wat Khmer Palalai Temple, performing the Praying & Blessing Dance for the elders’ longevity ceremony. Our new dancers stepped forward with confidence and pride, honoring tradition with every graceful movement. I’m so proud of them.

Hello. We hope everyone is safe out there. Due to the damages at FDR Park from the sudden storm this afternoon, we have decided to close SEA Market tomorrow (Sunday July 12) for everyone’s safety. Dolla Holla will be postponed until next Sunday (July 19). We’re grateful for FDR Park’s staff attentiveness and no reported injuries. Being an outdoor market in a public park has its nuances and we appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding and support.

From Refugee to Resilience: Cambodian American Folk Life in South Philadelphia, 1983–Present

KPAC is excited to announce a major cultural documentation project that will preserve our community’s stories, traditions, and lived experiences for the Library of Congress. For over 40 years, Cambodian American families in South Philadelphia have built a vibrant cultural home — through temple life, foodways, dance, music, oral histories, and intergenerational learning. Now, we are working to ensure these histories are recorded with care and archived for future generations.

We are seeking professional videographers, photographers, audio specialists, and transcriptionists to join our documentation team. Applicants with their own equipment are strongly encouraged. This is a paid, year‑long project with scheduled filming at temples, community events, family gatherings, and KPAC cultural programs.

If you are passionate about cultural heritage, community storytelling, and archival preservation, we welcome you to be part of this historic effort.

📩 To express interest, please message KPAC directly.

At KPAC, our young musicians are stepping into their beginner lessons with curiosity, discipline, and so much heart. Each week, they learn the foundations of Khmer traditional music—how to listen, how to feel the rhythm, and how to play with confidence.
