The Institute for Aegean Prehistory (INSTAP) was founded in 1981 to support projects relevant to the history of the Aegean world from the Paleolithic to the 8th century B.C. In 2001, the INSTAP Academic Press was started to help publish projects dealing with the subject of Aegean Prehistory. The Press is a scholarly publisher specializing in the publication of primary source material from archaeological excavations as well as individual studies dealing with material from the prehistoric periods.

The UISPP Commission on the Archaeometry of Prehistoric and Protohistoric Inorganic Artefacts, Materials, and their Technologies (https://uispp.net/index.php/en/commissions/archaeometry) has organized an Archaeometry Conference on Ceramics, Metals, Glass, and Stone (https://chania2025.sciencesconf.org/). It is hosted by the Archaeology Museum of Chania, Crete, Greece (https://amch.gr/en/). It is a UISPP Archaeometry colloquium for the year of 2025. The conference includes participants from other UISPP commissions and from other institutions located in a total of 25 different countries.

The UISPP Commission on Archaeometry of Prehistoric and Protohistoric Inorganic Artefacts, Materials and Their Technologies (https://uispp.net/en/commissions/archaeometry) invites you to an ARCHAEOMETRY CONFERENCE ON STONE, GLASS, CERAMICS AND METALS to be held at the Archaeological Museum of Chania in western Crete, Nov. 6-8, 2025.
We welcome contributions on topics related to the materials listed above. Deadline for registration and abstract submission is 16th May. Registration and submission are now online at https://chania2025.sciencesconf.org/.
