Pictured here with Andre”Noot”Wright,of Give and Go Athletics,is Archbishop Ryan’s,rising sophomore Rajon Dubose. At Sunday’s tryout for the Philly-NY Summer Basketball Youth Classic,Rajon was at the tryout site,two hours early,Meanwhile,I was in the process of reshooting part of the yet to be released,”The Greatest College Game Ever Played”,which we had originally filmed five years ago. The Byron Allen multimedia conglomerate,has purchased the rights to the documentary and it will air during March Madness,in 2027.

So you may ask,”what does Rajon Dubose have to go with it?” The production needed to have some”filler”between my scenes and I recommend Rajon,whom I had just met.So they had him do some dribbling moves and of course shooting.

Being two hours early,extremely polite and having”game” makes anything possible. Look for him in the documentary in March.

Tryouts for The Philly-NY Summer Youth Games will be held Sunday July 19th from 5:00-7:00 pm at The Elite Sports Factory 5050 Umbria Street in Philadelphia.

This will be for the 13u and 15u boys

More details to follow on the actual inductees. Just promoting the date and time for this great event.

The PBBHOF does not just honor former players and coaches and referees, etc. The organization provides a variety of different opportunities for young adults and children to grow through basketball and other means.

 The key to all of this is that the opportunities are provided for free.  The Basketball instruction is provided by individuals with impeccable credentials. So, think about supporting a great cause, coming out and meeting some new people and honoring the well deserved inductees.

This is Quadir Copeland with Philadelphia Black Basketball Hall of Fame Board Member,Crystal Gilmore Harris. Quadir,played in our NY~Philly Youth Basketball Classic,six years ago.

Fast forward,after a great college career at Syracuse,McNeese State and North Carolina State,Quadir is preparing himself for the 2026 NBA draft.

We are all extremely proud and will be supporting Quadir,as he pursues his professional basketball dream.
