Product offering development with a set of extra hands thanks to our volunteers from M&T Bank , a walk through of The Community Grocer on 60th street with some of our newest team members, and nutritious meals served to our community.

With more than 600,000 people in the region experiencing food insecurity, it’s one of the most pressing concerns affecting our neighbors.

What could the future of food access look like? And how can existing efforts be built upon to create lasting change?

Community organizations, local healthcare leaders, and food recovery programs are working to find out.

We’re proud to have participated in the 2026 AbbVie Foundation Health Equity Accelerator, in partnership with MATTER , alongside fellow cohort members: Black Heart Association , grassrootshealth.us , Health Justice Initiative, Network, and S.P.E.A.K. .

Over 10 weeks, we worked with peers, mentors and experts to refine our programs and strengthen our plans to scale our work to reach more communities. The final showcase was a meaningful opportunity to come back together with this inspiring group, share our progress and make new connections to help carry this work forward.

Thank you to the AbbVie Foundation and MATTER for supporting nonprofit leaders working to advance community-led approaches to expand access to care.

Neighbors came out to learn more about our apprenticeship and employment opportunities, get updates on construction and our opening, sign up for our loyalty program, and enjoy farm fresh meals prepared by our chef de cuisine and team 💚

We got the greens and a refrigerated sprinter van! This van is here to bring farm fresh produce, poultry, and ingredients from local PA Farms and distributors.

But we need your help naming it! Let us know what we should name our van in the comments and we will announce the winner next month 💚
