Thank you to Good Shepherd's Fold for the ministry you're doing with children in Uganda--and for sharing this update.

What an unforgettable week at the Healing Hearts Kids Camp at GSF! 🎉💛

Thirty five children from GSF Primary School attended the camp, where they learned about trauma healing and found a safe space for hope, growth, and restoration. There were games, laughter, learning, healing, and lots of fun!✨

A huge congratulations to our six GSF staff members who graduated as Kids Trauma Healing Facilitators. We’re so proud of you! 🎓👏

And the greatest celebration of all… 10 children gave their lives to Christ!! 🙌

It is with deep gratitude that we honor the life and legacy of Rev. Ismaïl Kanani, who passed away suddenly last week.

Frederick Barasa, Director of Global Partnerships for the Trauma Healing Institute, reflects:

“Rev. Ismaïl Kanani was a ministry colleague I first met in December 2010 at Bible House in New York. From that time on, we worked closely together—especially in trauma healing ministry in Sudan. In 2012, Ismaïl was arrested and imprisoned for three months after choosing not to go into exile, believing the Sudanese church needed his continued presence and service. He remained a passionate advocate for trauma healing and was among the pioneering cohort trained in our app-based initiative in Cairo in June 2023. He also personally facilitated healing groups at the Anglican Church in Cairo, helping hundreds encounter Christ in new ways. I will always cherish the many memories of our ministry together.”

We join in prayer for God’s comfort for all who mourn this profound loss, and we give thanks for Rev. Kanani’s faithful life and the countless lives he touched.

What a meaningful time our team had at the United Bible Societies' Roundtable in Jakarta! Between a full schedule of meetings, we heard powerful stories of how God is working through Trauma Healing in incredible ways around the world.

Grateful for the partnerships, the stories, and the shared mission.

🌱"Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the merciful Father, the God from whom all help comes! He helps us in all our troubles, so that we are able to help others who have all kinds of troubles, using the same help that we ourselves have received from God. Just as we have a share in Christ's many sufferings, so also through Christ we share in God's great help." -2 Corinthians 1:3-5

🌱 Even in the midst of scarcity, hope is rising in Cuba

Our Latin America Coordinator, Sharon Bermudez, shares this powerful update:

The children of Cuba continue to heal from trauma, thanks to the Lord and the commitment and love of the Healing Hearts Club group facilitators.

Against all odds, these dedicated facilitators are creating moments of joy and restoration—hosting graduation ceremonies, sharing meals, and celebrating each child with certificates that mark the beginning of their healing journeys.

💚 This is what love in action looks like.

Please join us in praying that God will continue to provide the resources needed so this life-changing program can go on. 🙏
