Newly Graduated Student Athlete Jayden Lucas,18 was at the Roberto Clemente Playground on Wednesday night playing basketball in Fairmount, Philadelphia when he was shot & killed in the crossfire after three gunman entered the courts and released 55 shots killing 2, and injuring 3 others. Ages ranging from 22-18. There were fifteen individuals in the park that night.

Jayden Lucas was a very close friend of mine. He was such an intelligent, ambitious and kind young man. As families are never prepared to bury their children, financially or emotionally, a Go Fund Me page was set up to help cover funeral expenses.

Happy Pride Month 🌈

In 1999, President Bill Clinton declared June as Gay & Le***an Month to honor the Stonewall Riots. The momentous uprising against police who targeted gay bars like the Stonewall Inn. Signifying the community would no longer have to accept the restraints put on them or discrimination by society due to social norms. Following, each year from 2009 through 2016, President Barack Obama declared June LGBT Month, recognizing more identities of the spectrum.
Throughout the month different events are held including picnics, workshops and Pride Parades... Celebrating all the rights the LGBT community has gained over the years. Though the community is being more accepted around the world, LGBT members endure a lot day-to-day and still aren’t represented internationally. The fight for equality is still on. I encourage everyone to learn more, get involved and be proud of who you are! 🏳️‍🌈

BTW 💗
I am an Ally. This is a safe zone. I am understanding, non-judgemental, and willing to provide an atmosphere of acceptance for members of the LGBT community.

When you stand for nothing, you fall for anything. We stand for change. We stand for equality. We stand for justice. We stand for liberty. FOR ALL. To be silent is to be complicit. Stars of Giving’s duty to our friends, supporters, community and ourselves is to speak up.
