For our fourth , we’re introducing Sam, our fearless leader and founder!
”Hey everyone, I’m Sam, nice to meet you. I’m proud to work with Tour 214 and to be a part of a team challenging ‘the way it’s always been done.’ We’re reaching past the superficial and are seeking feedback, input, stories, and more from service members to directly impact our service and our culture.”
Sam was a US Navy submariner for 7 years (well, 6 years and 9 months...) He served aboard the USS Virginia, SSN 774, then trained and evaluated crews in submarine tactics for deployment readiness. Today, Sam is “just trying to figure it out”… or something like that. He loves mentorship, learning, and leadership and sees space for all of these and more in his life. It’s part of the reasoning behind his founding of Tour 214. Much of his time is spent exercising, drinking coffee, reading, Zoom-ing, and…more Zoom-ing.
If you are a veteran or active duty service member, we would love to hear your story! Stories are a powerful way to process your experience and offer valuable input for organizations like Tour 214 who are looking to enhance and maybe even *rebrand* the military transition.
