Today, current board member Maddi received a certificate for completing the advanced pruning club training. Former PTP board member Kara received a certificate for completing the basic tree tenders course. One of our next generation teen girl scout volunteers completed the basic training as well, helped to plant woody plants at the Philadelphia Zoo and did some tree care for recently planted trees and shrubs.

Today we planted 16 trees at Harrowgate Park with and residents of the Harrowgate neighborhood in Philadelphia 19134 and
volunteers and board members.

Thankful for the amazing turn out and to everyone that came out today to help make this spot of our city a little greener! You were awesome today!

Happy Earth Day everyone!

Visit The Head & The Hand this Earth Day or Earth week! Located at 2230 Frankford Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19125 and always stocked with books about trees, the earth, and nature! Shop local!

Thank you for collaborating with us and making this lovely display of books about the environment to complement our swag and for hosting us. Just some of the books they have are on display, ask about others while you are in the store or ask for recommendations.

PTP is collecting donations to support the volunteer work we do (tree planting, tree pruning, tree maintenance, community organizing, and environmental education). Cashless donations are accepted on a sliding scale for our swag from $2 and up when in the shop. We have stickers, hats, T-shirts, and tote bags. Thanks for your support!
