We are incredibly proud to celebrate our amazing partners at Artcinia as they hit a massive milestone: their 200th neighborhood concert! 🎉🎵

For 5 years, we’ve collaborated with Artcinia through their "Music in YOUR Neighborhood" series, bringing the healing power of high-quality live music directly into Philadelphia’s historic sacred spaces. To mark this special occasion, they are bringing an absolute masterpiece to one of the city's most breathtaking venues.

📅 Sunday, June 14 at 3:00 PM
📍 Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul (1723 Race St)
🎻 Featuring: The Mazzocchi Ensemble performing Vivaldi’s beloved The Four Seasons

To celebrate this amazing milestone, Philadelphia City Councilperson Rue Landau will be there to present Artcinia with an official City Council citation honoring their incredible community impact and commitment to accessible arts. 📜👏

Artcinia’s mission has always been about making world-class music affordable for everyone, and this concert is no exception:
🎟️ Adults: $10 | Families: $15 | Students & Seniors: $5

Take a peek at our trip down south two weeks ago☀️🌵

Some of our staff headed to Tyler, Texas to aid St. Clare's Episcopal Church in an Asset Mapping. St. Clare’s is a thriving, growing congregation with a massive heart for their neighborhood. They are deeply committed to being a safe space for those who need one and are actively looking to welcome new community partnerships.

We are so excited to be working with St. Clare's and are excited to see this congregation flourish!

Happy Global Accessibility Awareness Day🌎🧑‍🦽‍➡️

First Bryan Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia, used a part of their National Fund for Sacred Places grant to make restroom accessibility upgrades. First Bryan, a 2023 National Fund for Sacred Places grantee, is a great example of how older, historic sacred places are adapting their buildings to be more accessible to people in their community.

We are lucky that we are able to work with so many sacred places that prioritize the accessibility of their buildings.🏛️

Here's a peak into our trip to Michigan a few weeks ago to help facilitate a training for the Holy Ground for Whole Communities!🌲

Holy Ground for Whole Communities is a grant-funded program supporting Episcopal congregations in discerning new ways to use their land and buildings as sacred assets for the common good. For this program, Partners is helping participating congregations learn how to treat their property as a sacred asset through our asset-based ministry and community engagement training.

Partners is happy to be collaborating with the Episcopal Diocese of the Great Lakes and Plainsong Farm on this exciting program.⭐

Love to see the celebration of history and community in Rutledge! 🏛️✨

We recently attended the Community Celebration at the Historic Rutledge Presbyterian Church. Organized by the Clinch-Powell Resource Conservation and Development Council, the event brought neighbors together to celebrate the rich heritage of Grainger County.

For several years, Partners for Sacred Places has collaborated with Clinch-Powell to restore two local gems for our Central Appalachia project: Rutledge Presbyterian and Henderson Chapel. The day wrapped up with some incredible live music from a local bluegrass band! 🪕🎻

Check out these snapshots of the Clinch-Powell team and the festivities!

Exciting things are happening in North Carolina! In collaboration with Partners for Sacred Places, The Museum of Haywood County History will be unveiling fiber artist Miranda Garbe’s folk art wall hanging entitled “Height After Height and Five Miles Over.” The fiber piece tells the story of circuit-riding preacher Francis Asbury and his difficult travel on horseback through Cataloochee in November 1810, as he made his way to the home of Jacob Shook. Shook had built his house circa 1800 and included a chapel on the third floor, which Asbury visited.🧵

The unveiling will take place this Saturday, May 2nd, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The piece will be displayed in the chapel on the third floor of the Museum of Haywood County History, located in the historic house where Jacob Shook once welcomed Francis Asbury. As part of the day’s celebration, additional fiber artists will be performing heritage demonstrations such as spinning, dyeing, weaving, and quilting throughout the museum.🌲🎨

Partners for Sacred Places awarded the Museum of Haywood County History a Folk Art Grant to capture the historic and religious nature of the house.

A peak into our trip to the Ocean State🌊. A couple weeks ago we had the honor of conducting an asset mapping event with the First Congregational Church in Bristol, Rhode Island!

Through our consulting work we are helping them explore:

👫How they can create deeper, mutually beneficial relationships with others in their community.

⭐How to connect with mission-aligned partners to share their beautiful building.

🏛️Talk with community members to see how their building can be utilized for town events.

Stay tuned as we help them bridge the gap between their storied history and a vibrant, collaborative future!
