NET Foster Care and Permanency

Opening your home and heart to a child in need can be one of life’s most rewarding and challenging experiences. We are actively engaged in finding resource caregivers (foster parents), kinship and respite parents to provide safe, loving homes for children and youth within their region as the goal is to keep children in their communities and eventually reunified with their families whenever possibl

If you genuinely enjoy and care about children, believe that you can be patient with youth who may act out, and understand that youth may miss their family and may not fully understand what has happened in their lives, then you could be the ideal candidate to be a resource caregiver (foster parent). Other criteria include:
Be at least 21 years of age and be in good health
Have a safe home that can accommodate children
Pass screening requirements related to child abuse and criminal history clearances
Participate in all pre-service training
Complete a family assessment process

We welcome applicants of all races and ethnicities, single or married persons, LGBT adults, renters or homeowners. Free Information Sessions are held monthly for those wanting to learn more about being a foster or kinship parent.
