Often when families reach out to us, they share that what their child wants most is simply to feel like themselves again, to participate in the activities they once loved, and to spend time with friends.
For many families, this can be difficult. Extracurricular activities can be expensive, and when faced with medical bills and everyday necessities, families are often forced to make tough financial choices.
Because of L4, we ease that burden, allowing families to worry less and giving kids the chance to enjoy the activities that bring them joy!
✨ Meet Giselle ✨
Giselle, is an incredibly caring and brave young girl who is always smiling. She has faced kidney cancer, the removal of a kidney, cancer treatments and their side effects, depression, migraines, short-term memory challenges, and the early stages of scoliosis.
Despite everything she has been through, Giselle loves gymnastics. Through L4, we supported her passion by covering a year of tuition at Rutgers Gymnastics Academy, along with her competition uniform and warm-ups. 🤸🏻♀️❤️🙌🏻
✨ Meet Leyla ✨
Leyla was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ependymoma in January 2024 after suffering from debilitating migraines. She underwent a full tumor resection and a cervical laminectomy of her C1 spine, followed by six weeks of proton radiation at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Penn Medicine.
Cheerleading has been one of the few bright spots during a year of surgery, treatment, and recovery. This summer, L4 covered Leyla’s NCA Cheer Camp with her varsity team and supported her travel to Texas for the NCA National Cheerleading Competition, along with uniforms and related expenses. 🎀👏🏻📣
These opportunities mean the world to kids like Giselle and Leyla. They allow them to feel like regular kids again: laughing with friends, chasing their passions, and finding joy beyond their diagnoses. 💛🌈✨🫶🏻
