🍂🎃🍁 We’ve got some new residents in Yorktown… and they’re looking a little bony!

If you’ve driven through the neighborhood lately, you’ve probably noticed our new spooky friends hanging out at the entrances!

We’re trying to bring a little more fun, holiday spirit, and personality to our community, and we’d love to hear from you!

What does everyone think of our new skeletons?

And more importantly… WHAT SHOULD WE NAME THEM?

Drop your funniest and most creative name suggestions in the comments below! Let’s give these guys some personality!

We’re hoping to make seasonal decorations a fun little tradition here in Yorktown. After all, what’s a neighborhood without a little community spirit (or a few skeletons in the yard)?

🚗 Friendly Reminder for Yorktown Residents

Just a friendly reminder to please avoid leaving vehicles parked in the roadway for extended periods of time. If a vehicle has been sitting in the same spot for 24–48 hours or longer, please make arrangements to move it.

Some of our streets are already pretty tight, and when a regular-sized vehicle can barely get through because cars are parked on both sides, it creates a serious concern for fire trucks, ambulances, and other emergency vehicles that may need to respond quickly.

It’s also an important safety concern for our children. When multiple vehicles are parked along the roadway, drivers may have to weave around them, making it much harder to see children who may be walking, riding bikes, or playing nearby. A child could easily step out from between parked vehicles without an approaching driver being able to see them in time.

Due to these safety concerns, we are asking that all vacant/unattended vehicles that have been left parked in the roadway be moved by August 31, 2026.

Please be mindful of where and how long vehicles are parked and help keep our roadways clear and visible. A little extra consideration can make a big difference in keeping our neighborhood safe for our children, residents, and emergency responders.

Thank you for your cooperation and for helping keep Yorktown safe! ❤️

We’re so excited to have What’s Up Kimbap serving our community today!

📢 Friendly Community Reminder 📢

As we prepare for our upcoming Community Yard Sale, members of the HOA Board and officers will be walking throughout the neighborhood. This is a great opportunity for all of us to make sure our properties are in compliance with the Yorktown Restrictive Covenants and looking their best.

Here are a few friendly reminders:

🚤 Boats & Trailers
Boats and trailers may be brought onto your property temporarily for loading, unloading, or maintenance. However, they should not be stored long-term on the street, in the front yard, in the driveway, or anywhere in front of the building setback line.

🌱 Grass & Lawn Maintenance
Please make sure your lawn is mowed, weeds are under control, and your landscaping is neat and well maintained. Keeping our neighborhood looking its best helps preserve the beauty of our community and protect property values.

If you have any questions about the covenants or these reminders, please visit www.yorktownhoa.org or send us a message here on our Yorktown HOA page.

Thank you for helping make Yorktown a community we can all be proud of! We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and look forward to a fun and successful Community Yard Sale!
