Chambers are families no matter which chamber you're from.

We were so excited to see and support our friends at the Opelika Chamber of Commerce for their 85th Annual Awards Lunch today. Fantastic event at Opelika High School. It is always wonderful to celebrate what businesses and individuals bring to our entire East Alabama region.

This is one of my favorite days in our Leadership East Alabama, we have completed the first part of the day learning why Chick-fil-A is not in the chicken business. They are in the people business. πŸ”β™₯️

On the Russell County ballot on the Tuesday, May 19 Primary Election, voters will see a special election regarding the renewal and continuation of the existing 4.5 mill countywide school tax.

✨This is not a new tax.✨

βœ…Approval of the measure will continue an important source of funding for local school systems and help support educational opportunities for students across Russell County. A vote against the measure would end this important, existing funding source for local schools.

Thank you to the Phenix City Schools Board of Education for asking us to moderate the four superintendent interviews last week.

We love being part of our community and assisting in this important process. The candidates got all the same questions and the interviews were live streamed.

What a special evening celebrating our Leadership East Alabama graduates last week!

Watching this group grow over the past several months has been inspiring. They showed up ready to learn, connect, challenge themselves, and invest in our community β€” and it has been amazing to see the friendships, confidence, and leadership skills that developed along the way.

We are so proud of each graduate and grateful they chose to be part of this journey. East Alabama is stronger because of leaders like these who are willing to step up, serve, and make a difference.

Thank you to everyone who supported this year’s program and helped make graduation night so memorable.

Your support made all the difference!
